Led an intensive masterclass for Juilliard’s conducting students, focusing on gesture economy, score preparation, and interpretative approaches to Mahler’s symphonic writing. Students worked with the Juilliard Orchestra on excerpts from Mahler Symphonies Nos. 1, 5, and 9.

The masterclass emphasized the balance between analytical clarity and emotional expression, with particular attention to rehearsal efficiency and communicating interpretative intent through gesture alone.

Conservatory orchestra rehearsal

Presented a public lecture on “Building a Conducting Career in the 21st Century,” discussing audition preparation, networking, and balancing artistic vision with practical career development. The residency concluded with a concert performance conducted by both guest artist and selected students.

Opera rehearsal
