As Music Director of the Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra since 2022, I have led the ensemble in reimagining the chamber orchestra experience for contemporary audiences. Our programming balances canonical masterworks with bold commissions from living composers.

Key Achievements:

• Launched the “Composers in Residence” program, commissioning five world premieres
• Expanded the orchestra’s educational outreach to serve 15 Chicago public schools
• Introduced pre-concert talks and interactive program notes to enhance audience engagement
• Led the orchestra’s first international tour to Germany and Austria (2023)

• Schubert Symphony No. 9 “Great” (Season Opening Gala, 2023)
• Stravinsky Pulcinella with guest choreographer (Spring 2024)
• Complete Mendelssohn string symphonies cycle (Fall 2022)

As Music Director of the Metro City Symphony Orchestra, leading the artistic vision for one of the region”s premier cultural institutions. Responsible for programming eight subscription concert series annually, commissioning new works, and building educational initiatives that connect the orchestra with the community.

Under this tenure, the orchestra has expanded its reach through innovative programming that balances core repertoire with contemporary music, increasing audience diversity and engagement. Initiatives include a new music series featuring living composers, community partnership concerts in underserved neighborhoods, and expanded educational programming.

Teaching graduate-level orchestral conducting, score analysis, and rehearsal technique. Working with the next generation of conductors through private instruction, conducting laboratory sessions with student orchestras, and masterclass presentations.

Curriculum focuses on gesture economy, score preparation methodology, and the practical aspects of building a conducting career in the 21st century.

Lead masterclasses and coaching sessions for graduate conducting students at the Juilliard School. Topics include score study, rehearsal technique, and interpretation of contemporary music.

• Coaching sessions with student conductors preparing for competitions

Served as Assistant Conductor to Gustavo Dudamel, preparing rehearsals for subscription concerts, conducting family and education concerts, and serving as cover conductor for all main stage performances.

Conducted over 25 concerts including educational programs, Hollywood Bowl summer series performances, and subscription concerts when called upon. Gained invaluable experience working with world-class musicians and soloists while deepening understanding of rehearsal technique and concert preparation at the highest level.

Served as Associate Conductor for four seasons, conducting over 40 performances including subscription concerts, pops series, and educational programs. Assisted Music Director Peter Bay in rehearsals and concert preparation.
